MAYS LANDING – Atlantic Cape Community College ushered in a new era of leadership on Wednesday, July 1, as board trustees, faculty, staff and students formally welcomed Dr. Jason Abreu, the 10th president in the college’s history, to the Mays Landing campus.
Dr. Abreu is a first-generation, visionary and student-centered higher education executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the K–20 continuum, including more than 15 years in senior-level higher education administration. He brings a deep, personal commitment to expanding opportunity and removing systemic barriers for historically underserved student populations.
“I am proud to be a part of the Atlantic Cape Community College family. I look forward to helping guide this storied institution forward and I am excited for the opportunities that await us in higher education today. All of us in the College community, from Mays Landing and Atlantic City to Cape May County, have an important role in ensuring that we are achieving the needs of our students,” Abreu said.
