The top-seeded Camden Catholic High School field hockey team defeated third-seeded St. Joseph Academy 8-0 in the south Jersey Non-Public B final Wednesday.
Local high school athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers in college. Wednesday began the one-week early signing period for all athletes except football players.
Southern loses to Kingsway in field hockey championship
The Southern Regional High School field hockey ended a magical season Wednesday with a 10-0 loss to Kingsway Regional in the SouthJersey Group IV final. The Rams won the Shore Conference A South Division title and reached the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. The only other time Southern reached the S.J. Group IV final was in 2014.

The top-seeded Moorestown High School girls volleyball team defeated second-seeded Hammonton 2-0 in the South Jersey Group III championship match Tuesday.
Olivia Shertenlieb finished with 19 assists and Jill Becker added 11 kills to lead the second-seeded Pinelands Regional High School girls volleyball team to a dominant 2-0 victory over ninth-seeded Timber Creek to win the South Jersey Group II championship. Set scores were 25-7, 25-7. The match was over in less than 40 minutes.
Aidan Donnelly scored two goals to lead the fourth-seeded Southern Regional High School boys soccer team to a 4-1 victory over eighth-seeded Central Regional in the South Jersey Group IV semifinals Tuesday.
