Press editorials are the opinion of the newspaper’s Editorial Board, which consists of the publisher, executive editor, managing editor, editorial page editor and various other contributing editors. We welcome opposing viewpoints.

Letters must include the writer’s full address and daytime and evening phone numbers. All letters are subject to editing. Shorter letters are preferred. The maximum is 350 words. (Writers are limited to one letter every 30 days.)

The Press also welcomes one-time commentaries of up to 750 words on a local or state issue by someone with expertise or standing on the matter.
