Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) was selected to receive a $100,000 contribution by the A&R Mack Charitable Foundation in memory of Rita Mack. The funds will support the agency’s programs and services that help individuals and families in the region.
“We are grateful to the A&R Mack Charitable Foundation for their generous support. This contribution helps ensure that JFS can continue to provide critical services and assistance to people in need throughout our community,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer. “Our partnership with Anthony Mack and his foundation reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the community to ensure people have access to the resources they need to thrive.”
Anthony Mack and his late wife, Rita, were longtime owners of two McDonald’s franchises in Atlantic City – one on Arkansas Avenue at the Tanger Outlets and the other on Albany Avenue near Stockton University. As strong advocates for the Atlantic City community, the Macks have provided impactful support to countless organizations including the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, Atlantic Cape Community College, AtlantiCare, Boys & Girls Club, Faith Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Hospital, Stockton University, and Tennessee State University.

“My wife, Rita, and I have always been in support of organizations that engage in uplifting the lives of the less fortunate. JFS is such an organization,” said Anthony Mack. “JFS was selected for the contribution in memory of my wife, because they offer a wide variety of programs and services that are tailored to address a wide variety of issues one may encounter in their daily lives.”
Through the A&R Mack Charitable Foundation, Anthony continues the couple’s commitment to giving back and supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout the community.
