The City of Atlantic City officially broke ground on a new public comfort station at historic Gardner’s Basin, marking the latest investment in improving one of the City’s signature waterfront destinations. Mayor Marty Small, Sr. was joined by City leaders and project contractors to celebrate the start of construction on the new facility, which will be located just off the Seawall.
The comfort station will feature new accessible men’s and women’s restrooms with multiple stalls, a family restroom and a shower room equipped with a combination lock for boaters.
This latest improvement project also includes a landscaping component with a new irrigation system to further enhance the beauty of the area. In addition, the Seawall parking lot and the street between the lot and the Atlantic City Aquarium will be paved, with new curbing and sidewalks installed.
All components of the improvements are expected to be completed by the start of the 2027 summer season.
