Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University junior Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) was selected Metro Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2026 outdoor season.
Styer received the award for the second time this year after previously being voted Metro Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the 2025-26 indoor season. The junior is the third female Osprey to be selected for a regional Athlete of the Year award (Shahyan Abraham 2023 indoor field; Kayla Kass 2025 indoor track) and first to win twice.
Styer racked up a lengthy list of honors this spring, topped by First Team All-American in the heptathlon. She was chosen NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete and earned All-Region accolades in four events (100m hurdles, high jump, long jump, heptathlon) plus NJAC All-Conference nods in three events (First Team high jump, Second Team 100m hurdles and long jump).
Styer qualified for First Team All-America recognition by finishing fourth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 21-22. During the season, she set school records of 14.22 seconds in the 100m hurdles and 5,050 points in the heptathlon. Styer was named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week twice in April as well.
