Trois-Rivières, Quebec – The Trois-Rivières Lions, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced the signing of defenseman Xavier Bernard for the 2026–27 season.
Bernard has spent the past five seasons playing between the American Hockey League and the ECHL. Last season, he recorded 16 points (3g-13a) and was a +12 in 54 games with the Rapid City Rush.
In total, Bernard has appeared in 166 ECHL games, recording 52 points (13g-39a). In the AHL, Bernard has played 83 games, tallying seven points (1g-6a).
During his junior career, he had 103 points in 275 career games in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League with Drummondville, Sherbrooke and Val-d’Or.
