RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, announced the club has re-signed Will Portokalis for the 2026-27 season.
Portokalis turned pro and joined the Rush at the tail end of last season, skating in a three-game series at Utah in April. He registered five shots on goal in the three games.
The 24-year-old led Toronto Metro University in scoring last season with 33 points (14g-19a) in 28 games. He played four collegiate seasons for the Bold and totaled 80 points (35g-45a) in 109 games.
A Mississauga, Ontario, native, Portokalis spent three years in the Ontario Hockey League, the majority of which came with his hometown Mississauga Steelheads.
