Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University senior Nicole Palmer (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) was chosen NJAC Player of the Week in volleyball for the week of September 7-13. Palmer received the award for the seventh time in her career.
Palmer led the Ospreys in kills (45) and digs (34) while also compiling five blocks, four aces and a .381 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week. She recorded kill totals of 16, 14 and 15 respectively in the three victories, adding 16 digs to her 14 kills against Randolph-Macon for her third double-double of the season.
Palmer, a three-time AVCA All-America Honorable Mention player, leads the NJAC in kills (4.16/set) and points (4.66/set), ranking 17th and 20th in NCAA Division III in those two categories. She also stands ninth in the conference in hitting percentage (.267) and second on the team in digs (3.20/set).
Stockton (5-2) is currently riding a four-match winning streak. The Ospreys will host Muhlenberg tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. and then host Neumann (10:00 a.m.) and Moravian (2:00 p.m.) in a tri-match on Saturday.
