Trois-Rivières, Quebec – The Trois-Rivières Lions, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced that they have signed forward Robert Orr ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the fifth round (136th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Orr spent the past two seasons with the University of Prince Edward Island. In 55 games, the Beaconsfield, Quebec, native recorded 45 points (23g-22a).
Prior to his university career, Orr played four seasons in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League with the Halifax Mooseheads, Gatineau Olympiques and Acadie-Bathurst Titan. During his rookie campaign in 2020-21, he led all QMJHL rookies with 32 points in 41 games.
Orr enjoyed his best junior season in 2023-24 with the Titan, leading the team in scoring with 82 points in 64 games. He finished his QMJHL career with 199 points (78g-121a) in 233 games.
