Trois-Rivières, Quebec – The Trois-Rivières Lions, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced the signing of defenseman Zachary Massicotte for the 2026-27 season.
Last season, the Shawinigan, Quebec, native played for the Maine Mariners while under an American Hockey League contract with the Providence Bruins. He appeared in 29 games, recording six points (1g-5a) and a +7 rating.
Massicotte is set to enter his fifth season in the ECHL, having also suited up for the Orlando Solar Bears and Allen Americans. In 189 ECHL games, he has recorded 47 points (11g-36a) and 134 penalty minutes. He also has AHL experience, appearing in 27 games with the Belleville Senators and Syracuse Crunch.
