A look at Stockton University’s class of 2030

Galloway, N.J. — More than 1,300 first-year students began classes at Stockton University on Tuesday, joining a Class of 2030 that includes students from across the country and around the world.

They are part of a new class in which more than half of first-year undergraduates are the first in their families to attend college, and nearly 91% of full-time, first-year students received institutional grants or scholarships.

Here is a closer look at Stockton’s Class of 2030 by the numbers:

• Nearly 91% of full-time, first-year students received nearly $10.2 million in institutional grants and/or scholarships.
• Nearly 52% of registered, first-year undergraduates are first-generation, which means they are the first in their family to attend an institution of higher education.
• The students come from 12 different states, as far north as Maine, as far south as Texas and as far west as Nevada and Wyoming.
• The class also includes students from 13 different countries.
• There are 147 recruited athletes.
• The top three majors for this class are Health Science, Psychology and Business Administration.
• Stockton also welcomed more than 620 new transfer students this semester.
