ACUA is making a $2.4 million investment in its essential wastewater infrastructure in Galloway Township.
Nearly 10,000 ft. of underground pipe extending along the White Horse Pike from Pomona Road to Genista Avenue will be lined with new long-lasting polymer material, upgrading the original pipe installed in the late 1970s with a new interior that has an expected lifetime of more than 50 years.
The pipeline transports wastewater from area homes and businesses to ACUA’s pump station by gravity. From there, the wastewater is pumped to ACUA’s treatment plant in Atlantic City.
This preventative maintenance work will be completed by contractor Vortex Services, LLC, beginning on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The work will be completed in sections and will have little impact on traffic in the area.
This project is being funded through the New Jersey I-Bank. ACUA has applied for and is expected to receive $2 million in principal loan forgiveness for this project, directly benefiting the Authority and its ratepayers.
