Brute's Roots, a locally woman-owned business, is creating a buzz in the New Jersey cannabis market with its newly launched products being offered under $30. App.com conducted a survey of every dispensary menu in the state and they recognized Brute's Roots as offering the most affordable weed in the Garden State. After a long four-year journey, the cannabis company has finally introduced their signature strain, The GoodFather, at their Egg Harbor Township dispensary, located at 6206 Black Horse Pike. These harvests were grown at their greenhouses and are labeled as "sun grown." Five additional strains will be available next month. Brute's Roots utilizes natural sunlight for their plants.
Their introductory prices are turning heads, with prices that often range from $45 to $75 for an eighth of flower. An eighth of Brute's Roots big buds sells for $27(med)/$29(rec). An eighth of their small buds sells for $23(med)/$25(rec). Prerolls are as low as $10 for a two-pack. Their premium indoor flower will be available early next year along with their manufactured products, such as edibles and vapes.
Their Egg Harbor Township dispensary and staff are getting great reviews for their fast, efficient and friendly service. Customers are able to order ahead online or place their order in store on the kiosks. Their friendly budtenders are super knowledgeable and provide a warm and welcoming experience.
Brute’s Roots products can also be found in other dispensaries throughout the state. In fact, owner Kelly Gatto has been hand delivering their first batch of wholesale orders. She wanted to be present for this milestone for the company and the N.J. cannabis market. New Jersey has been waiting for something new to hit the market, so there are many vendors excited to put Brute’s Roots on their menu.
Many customers appreciate the fact that Brute’s Roots is owned and operated by two Atlantic County natives, Kelly Gatto and Jim DiNatale. Both are hands-on in the business. They both assisted their cultivation team in transplanting over 3,000 plants for this first harvest.
Five years ago, DiNatale, a local commercial developer and business owner, traveled all over including to Canada, California, Maryland, Kentucky and within New Jersey touring various cultivation facilities. He utilized these experiences to later design Brute’s Roots’ facility. DiNatale and Gatto did similar due diligence for their dispensary layout. They visited numerous dispensaries and went inside and made purchases at each one to see what works best for the customer experience. Gatto decorated their dispensary to give a different vibe compared to a traditional dispensary. Many customers state they "feel at home" when they enter.
As a registered nurse, Gatto is involved in the community, for example raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and offering their dispensary as a drop off location for a local food drive for the holiday season. Gatto and her team even handed out educational material regarding health benefits of cannabis at the AC Marathon to thousands of athletes and guests. “I am happy to be able to offer a safe place for both medical and recreational customers to purchase cannabis. There are many health benefits, and it offers a great alternative option for a variety of ailments,” she said.
“Not many people believed that we would price our product where it’s at, but we wanted to follow through with our mission, which is to provide quality, safe and affordable cannabis products to the N.J. market,” said DiNatale.
