Atlantic County Clerk responds
I take offense, as should the residents of Hammonton, to the false allegations and fabricated “controversy” being propagated by Hammonton First regarding the vote-by-mail ballots.
No election laws were violated in printing the names of its candidates in alphabetical order. The bracketing letter that Hammonton First claims to have submitted with the request to list the candidates in the same order as its lawn signs is only valid for primary elections, not general elections.
Hammonton First is an independent party and does not participate in the primary election. Had its chairman been more familiar with election law, he would have also known to file a joint petition with all three candidates instead of three individual petitions. If that had been done, the candidate names would have appeared in the order submitted without any discrepancy about ballot placement.

There were no misprints on the ballot. All the candidates were listed, their names were spelled correctly and they were identified under the correct party, office sought and length of term. Apparently, Hammonton First has little faith in the ability of voters to locate candidates on the ballot unless their placement replicates lawn signs.
I have been fully transparent and have removed myself from any involvement as county clerk with Hammonton’s municipal elections. I have entrusted those responsibilities to my deputy clerk to avoid any conflict of interest. In my three years as county clerk, Hammonton First has communicated directly with my deputy clerk, with the exception of one registered letter I received on September 30, 2024. There have been no letters, emails or phone calls to which I did not respond because they were never sent or made to me.
Be assured, I take my responsibilities seriously and I remain committed to the citizens of Atlantic County.

Salerno wrong on wind
How arrogant of Joe Salerno to tell those of us in South Jersey to live with high electric bills or embrace wind turbines. As someone who has lived here for little over a year I doubt he has any idea what it means to the residents to preserve our unique way of life and our pristine shoreline. I doubt if he has firsthand knowledge of the complexity of the fishing industry or the tourist industry which will be negatively affected by wind turbines.
Look at what happened in Nantucket when the blades broke loose. I guess those of us opposing wind turbines are "unserious people with unrealistic solutions," according to him. Someone who does understand the dynamics of this area is Congressman Jeff Van Drew, who has been a champion for South Jersey for over 20 years. I'm standing behind Jeff Van Drew to continue his unwavering support for those of us living, working and voting in South Jersey.

Adams didn't play by his bosses' rules
Democrat mayor of New York City Eric Adams has been indicted for bribes and illegal campaign contributions. The reason for these indictments can be attributed to him stepping over the bounds of the present regime running this country.
He has been complaining about the mass of illegal immigrants being sent to his city, with no assistance or financial support coming from the federal government. With these statements, he has placed a target on his back for the weaponized Department of Justice to seek whatever damaging information they can uncover in order to remove him from office.
He is now in a position to understand how President Trump feels, with the DOJ continually seeking information to prevent him from regaining the presidency. The Democrats' creed is, if you abide by our rules and be a good politician, you will not be harassed.
