KENSKY, EDWARD J. 75 - passed away peacefully at his home in Absecon on March 18, 2014. He was born in McKeesport, PA and he graduated from Clairton High School where he earned a football scholarship to West Virginia Univ. graduating in 1961. Mr. Kensky was an Industrial Arts Teacher and a Cooperative Industrial Education (C.I.E.) Coordinator at Pleasantville High School from 1962 – 1987, where he also coached football, track and wrestling. In 1987, he was the C.I.E. coordinator at Egg Harbor Township High School until retiring in 1997. He was a proud football coach of the EHT Silver Eagles in their back to back championship seasons of 1992 and 1993. Edward was a member of the Absecon Volunteer Fire Dept for 47 years, becoming a life member. He was also a life member of the New Jersey State Firemen's Relief Assoc. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Anna Kensky; and his son-in-law, James Worzel. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Johanna (Nee Gorman); his children, Karen Worzel of Hawley, PA and Keith Kensky (fiancee Lauren Sabia); his grandchildren, Dana, Ryan and Erin Worzel; and many brothers-in-law; sister-in-law; nieces; nephews; and friends. Visitation will be Thurs. Mar. 20th from 6 to 8 PM and Fri. Mar. 21st from 9 to 10:30 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd. Galloway, NJ (609) 641-0001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Fri. Mar. 21st at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave. Absecon, NJ at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
