CERRONI, QUETTI (Lou) - passed peacefully on July 7, 2015. He w as born in Tooele, Utah, and was a lifelong resident of Northfield. He was predeceased by his wife Palmena (Branca) Cerroni. He is survived by his son Anthony C. Cerroni; his daughter Janice A (Cerroni) Benjamin and his brother Angelo; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Quetti was a World War II soldier with the U.S. Army's 242nd Engineers Combat Battalion 77th Division Company C. He was in four Campaigns in all: Guam, Philippines and Occupying troops in Japan. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars, the WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Sharp Shooter badge rifle bar, and the Honorable Service Lapel Button. After his discharge he worked in construction and owned throughbred race horses which his son Anthony trained, for 35 years until his retirement. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 13th, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Michelle Cerroni in care of the Shore Cancer Center, 100 Medical Center Way, Somers Point, NJ 08244 or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in his memory.
