Atlantic City police

A man was arrested Monday in Atlantic City after assaulting and robbing an acquaintance, Atlantic City police said.

Officers Corey Treadway and Michael Gunsser responded to the south block of Indiana Avenue for a report of a robbery, police said.

A 20-year-old woman was walking with Darnell Tenner after having met him earlier in the evening, police said. Tenner assaulted her, stole $13 from her and fled, police said. The woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment for an injury, police said.

Officers located Tenner in an apartment at the 500 block of Indiana Avenue and arrested him, police said. He initially have the officers a fake name and information, police said.

Tenner, 23, of Atlantic City, was charged with robbery and hindering apprehension. He was taken to the Atlantic County jail.
