LISTEN: National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J. talks about NHC Changes

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, which covers South Jersey ranks the National Hurricane Center's changes for the 2020 as follows: addition of storm surge forecast graphics, inclusion of a 60 hour forecast (between the existing 48 and 72 hour forecast), annual update to the track forecast error cone, and using local time zones for systems. Valeria Meola, a Meteorologist at the NWS who is a part of the tropical team, talks more to Meteorologist Joe Martucci about the changes and the relationship the Mount Holly office has with the NHC.
