Galloway Elks donate to food bank

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — The National Elks Foundation is celebrating 150 years of service to its communities this year.

The Galloway Elks Lodge contributed to this effort by donating $1,500 in grants to local charities.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch, received $250. Exalted Ruler Art Conover presented the award to Noemi Soto on Oct. 3 at the Elks Lodge on Route 9.

The food bank supplies food twice a month at the township Municipal Complex. It also delivers food to people living in White Horse Pike motels.

To make arrangements to donate, call 609-240-9981.
