Vicki Clark

Vicki Clark, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce president and Women of Wonder award recipient will be recognized in a November ceremony.

The Women of Wonder League recognizes influential women for their outstanding and selfless dedication to helping others reach their full potential. The Women of Wonder League’s special recognition events inspire the generosity of local donors and sponsoring businesses. It is through this support that at-risk youth in Cape May County have the opportunity to attend Atlantic Cape Community College and become community leaders of tomorrow. The Women of Wonder League believes building a child’s confidence in academic environments allows them to reach new heights in the classroom and in everyday life.

Clark serves as president of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, a position she has held for the past 14 years. Prior to this, she served as the Chamber’s marketing and membership director for 13 years. Clark oversees the daily business operations, advocacy positions and membership programs.

“Vicki exemplifies leadership at its finest. She continually serves as a role model in the community by graciously balancing her family, career, and community endeavors,” said Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, Cape May County Women’s Advisory Commission chair.

Clark is president of the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association, serves on the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Board of the New Jersey Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation Board and served on the Lower Cape May Regional Board of Education for eleven years.

In 2016, she became a founding member of the Business Alliance for the Protection of the Atlantic Coast and currently serves as the organization’s first president. In July of this year, Clark became a member of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

The Woman of Wonder award ceremony will be held 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Avalon Links. The community is invited to join the celebration. Individual tickets are $30 and sponsorship opportunities are available online. Tickets and sponsorship for the Women of Wonder League’s charity luncheon honoring Clark are available online at www.atlantic.edu/wow. The event is co-sponsored by the Cape May County Women’s Advisory Commission and the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation.

The Cape May County Women’s Advisory Commission is dedicated to providing a forum to increase the participation of county women and consulting with other groups and/or government agencies in order to propose programs that foster equality, achievement and justice. The commission is passionate about studying the needs, problems, capabilities, interests, and concerns of Cape May County women and girls.

The mission of the foundation is to provide funding and support to Atlantic Cape Community College, its students and educational endeavors, through special-event fundraising and community philanthropy.
