Polar Bear Plunge: The Kappa Sigma fraternity at Stockton University will hold its 14th annual fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at the 12th Street North beach. Dennis Township

New campground guide: Photos and a listing of historic and environmental attractions in the township are included in the updated New Jersey Campground and RV Park Vacation Guide. The publication is distributed at travel shows and camping expos along the eastern seaboard. Free copies are available at the Old School House Museum and at the municipal building in Dennisville.

Egg Harbor Township

Youth cheerleading: The EHT Youth Organization will hold cheerleading registration for students in grades one through seven from 6 to 7 p.m. March 2 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 4, 11 and 19. Registration takes place at the Veterans Memorial Park Field House in front of the Swift School off Ocean Heights Avenue. Green Business recognition program: The Galloway Township Office of Sustainability and Go Green Galloway invite businesses and offices to be recognized as environmentally friendly and added to a state registry. Lower Township

Boating safety class: A one-day class about boating safety will be offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following Saturdays: March 12, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16 and Aug 12. Classes will be held in Price Hall, Academy and Seashore roads, Cold Spring. The cost is $45. Students will receive a New Jersey Safe Boating certificate. To register, call 609-889-7160.
