Tyler Welch struck out nine and allowed just two hits as Galloway beat Upper Township 11-1 at the Cal Ripken District 8 baseball tournament final in Egg Harbor Township.

Galloway had 13 hits, including home runs from Matt Branco, Jake Marsico and Patrick Scheck.

Galloway swept the double-elimination tournament with a win over Mays Landing and two wins over Upper Township.

The team advances to the state tournament and will face Montgomery Township on July 17.
