MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — The township Board of Education on Monday night voted to support the suspension of Business Administrator Walter F. Landgraf, who was placed on paid leave last week.
The school board met behind closed doors for almost two hours before formally supporting the suspension Superintendent Michael Kopakowski imposed Wednesday.
But after the executive session, neither the school board nor Kopakowski said why Landgraf was suspended or whether the suspension was pending further review.
“I don’t know if it’s indefinite or not,” Kopakowski said after the special meeting Monday night.
Landgraf earns an annual base salary of $131,165 per year and has a contract that began in July 2008 and expires at the end of this month, according to the district’s 2009-10 school budget.
Landgraf, who was not in attendance at the meeting, could not be reached late Monday night.
