Attention all Parrotheads and Landsharks, it's once again, time for Jimmy Buffett weekend and right on the beach is where you should stay for all the sun, fun and Buffett parties you can handle.

The beach bars along the Atlantic City Boardwalk are taking Buffett weekend very seriously. Big bands, raging parties and even fun giveaways make up this tribute weekend to the king of Margaritaville. Bally's Bikini Beach Bar gets things started on Friday, Aug 21, with live music by Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band, a legendary Buffett tribute act. Howard and the Mile Markers play at 9:30 p.m., 12:30 a.m. and again on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. The band will also perform on Sunday, Aug. 23, as part of the Bikini Beach Bar's Jimmy Buffett Tailgate Party, while people prepare for Buffett's concert at Boardwalk Hall. Don't forget to check out the Trump Plaza Beach Bar for another Buffett extravaganza. The Ducktown Tavern and the Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club are embracing Jimmy Buffett Weekend in a very special way. A block party will raise funds for Hunter Syndrome Research. The official Ducktown Tailgate Party kicks off at noon on Sunday, and goes until 8 p.m. For only $5, be a part of the action, which includes entertainment, food and drinks. All the proceeds will go to the Making Precious Strides organization, which raises awareness and funds to find a cure for Hunter Syndrome. The Fifth Annual Margate Rock Festival brings you its biggest act to date, Gin Blossoms, left. After the rock 'n' roll group performs on Sunday at 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a fireworks spectacular. The show is free to the public, but feel free to donate or go to www.goac.com for promotional packages. All proceeds go to the Gold Foundation, an organization that distributes funds to southern New Jersey charities in need. The festival takes place at Amherst Avenue and the bay in Margate.
