Lenny Kravitz

with K'Naan at Borgata

WHO ARE THEY: In the late 1980s, at the height of hair metal's dominance, Lenny Kravitz emerged with a refreshing, unique style and made his mark immediately with his 1989 debut, "Let Love Rule." After writing the hit song "Justify My Love" for Madonna, Kravitz released his sophomore album, "Mama Said," which proved to be a huge success thanks in part to the hit singles "Always on the Run" and "It Ain't Over Till It's Over." In 1993, Kravitz released the most successful album of his career, "Are You Gonna Go My Way," which solidified the singer as a bona fide star.

K'Naan is a rapper from Somalia who moved to the United States when he was 13. In 2001, K'Naan contributed to singer Youssou N'Dour's album "Building Bridges" and toured the world. The rapper's 2009 sophomore album, "Troubadour," was his first release for a major label.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Although his critics have painted him as blatantly derivative, Kravitz wins points for picking some of the coolest people in music history to emulate. A hybrid of Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Bob Marley and Curtis Mayfield, Kravitz still manages to come off as unique. He established himself as a major talent on "Mama Said," and solidified himself as a superstar that was here to stay on "Are You Gonna Go My Way." Concertgoers are in for quite an evening, as Kravitz has established himself as one of rock's most charismatic frontmen. Fans can expect to hear his hits.

WHAT'S NEW: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album, "Let Love Rule," Kravitz has issued an anniversary re-release featuring new mixes and bonus tracks.
