Trout bonus money

The LA Times reported Wednesday night that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim signed Millville High School graduate Mike Trout for a $1.21 million bonus.

Before the draft, Trout's family confirmed they were seeking a bonus of more than $2 million.

But the economy is slumping and baseball teams are determined to lower the bonus money paid to draftees.
