Plain White T's mixes a stellar album despite time constraints

If the Plain White T's third and fourth CDs are any indication, it doesn't look like deadline pressures or expectations will be a problem for the group's songwriter and singer, Tom Higgenson.

He seems to function quite well when he puts himself under the gun.

"We actually had only a month to record the entire record," Higgenson says of "Every Second Counts." "It was a very quick process because we were leaving for Warped tour. Hollywood (Records) was signing us, but they wanted us to finish the record before Warped tour so it could come out in September (2007)."

The accelerated pace of the project isn't apparent in the music on "Every Second Counts." If anything, the band raised its game, creating a CD that stands as the catchiest, most well-crafted effort of the Chicago-based band's six-year career. More
